Residents on Windsor’s Trione Circle were surprised Thursday to see a work crew cutting down trees along the SMART train path.
The work was reportedly performed by PG&E, as part of its routine brush management program. The Press Democrat reports A PG&E spokesperson said the work would include the removal of up to three dead or dying trees and trimming of about 10 others. SMART officials confirmed they were not involved.
Residents expressed concern about the scope of the work, noting that at least one oak tree that provided a shield from the tracks was removed.
