Sonoma County is updating its Hazard Mitigation Plan and needs your input!
The public comment period is open now, from October 20th through November 10th. The Department of Emergency Management is hosting several public meetings, both in-person and virtual, to share the plan’s findings and answer questions.
The first in-person meeting is Monday, October 27th, at 5:30 p.m. at the Finley Community Center in Santa Rosa. A virtual meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, October 29th, at 5:30 p.m. Additional in-person meetings are slated for Petaluma, Cloverdale, and Sonoma.
This updated plan is required to maintain the county’s eligibility for essential federal disaster grants. Visit the Sonoma County website for the full schedule and to view the draft plan.
