Petaluma American Little League has removed a married couple identified as Chase and Emily Parker, the former president and treasurer this week following the discovery of financial irregularities.
The Petaluma Argus-Courier reports the new league president, Hamid Khalili, confirmed the ouster after reports surfaced that the former treasurer had been falsifying financial records. Khalili has filed a report with the Petaluma Police Department, who are now investigating.
While stressing there is no proof of embezzlement at this time, the league board has moved swiftly, installing new leadership and promising a transparent review of all finances.
