Caltrans District 4 and local partners celebrated the opening of the Highway 116/121 Roundabout Project on Friday.
According to the Sonoma Index-Tribune, the nearly $30 million project replaces a congested four-way stop intersection with a modern roundabout designed to improve traffic flow and enhance safety. The new roundabout, which includes bike lanes and sidewalks, aligns with Caltrans’ goal to make roads safer for everyone.
Funding was provided by the State Highway Operation and Protection Program and Measure M funds from the Sonoma County Transportation Authority.
