Rohnert Park Set To Gain First Permanent Supportive Housing Site

Rohnert Park and Burbank Housing have secured a $28.7 million state grant to fight homelessness.

According to the Press Democrat, the money comes from the Homekey+ program and will be used to purchase and convert the Best Western Sonoma Winegrower’s Inn into 70 permanent supportive apartments. The new site, called The Terraces at Copeland Creek, will prioritize housing for seniors and veterans.

The project, expected to open after renovations, is a major step in the city’s strategy to address homelessness.
