A Petaluma woman was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence following a fatal crash near Cotati late Thursday night.
Per the Press Democrat, CHP reports that 23-year-old Angel Torres lost control of her SUV on Stony Point Road, struck a tree, and killed her male passenger. Torres was injured and transported to the hospital, where officers determined she was under the influence of alcohol.
She faces DUI charges and will be booked into the Sonoma County jail. The crash remains under investigation.
