The Sonoma Valley Unified School District is holding two key community forums this week regarding the consolidation of elementary schools.
The Sonoma Index-Tribune reports families and staff are invited to share their vision for an “ideal elementary school” and provide feedback on the transition.
-
The first forum is in Spanish tonight, Monday, November 17th, at 6 p.m. at El Verano Elementary.
-
The second forum is in English on Thursday, November 20th, at 6 p.m. at Sonoma Valley High School.
Acting Superintendent Rena Seifts says the goal is to give the community a voice as the district moves to improve educational models. The forums will not address the recent petition for a charter school at the closing Prestwood Elementary site. Everyone is welcome to attend.
