Two people have been arrested following a long investigation into a spike in mail and package thefts.
The Sonoma Index-Tribune reports the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office arrested 35-year-old Eriberto Bejines on November 10th. A second suspect, 21-year-old Keny Castaneda-Tellez, was arrested on November 13th during a search in Boyes Hot Springs.
At the Boyes Hot Springs residence, investigators recovered stolen mail, checks, and credit cards linked to over 90 victims.
Castaneda-Tellez was booked on multiple charges, including identity theft and child cruelty, and remains in custody on $50,000 bail.
