A Santa Rosa police motorcycle officer was injured Thursday while responding to a call in the northeast part of the city.
Officials say the officer was riding north on Mendocino Avenue when a Subaru Outback pulled into his path. He used emergency braking but could not avoid the collision. The officer suffered minor injuries, was treated at a hospital, and is expected to take a brief leave to recover.
The Subaru driver was unharmed, and the crash remains under investigation.
