Catholic Charities of Northwest California has secured $350,000 in federal funding to open a new youth shelter in Santa Rosa.
The Press Democrat reports the project aims to fill a critical gap left by the closure of the county’s only shelter for at-risk teens and young adults. The planned facility will offer six beds and provide intensive case management and mental health support.
Catholic Charities must now raise an additional $200,000 to complete the renovations and open the doors as soon as possible.
