Large waves and high tides are returning to North Bay beaches this week, raising the risk of hazards and flooding along the Sonoma County coast.
The National Weather Service says breaking waves between ten-and-14 feet are expected today through Wednesday, with strong westward swells increasing the potential for sneaker waves and rip currents. A beach hazards statement is in effect through 10:00 p.m.
Tuesday, and officials warn the highest risk for hazards and flooding will occur Tuesday and Wednesday when peak tides coincide with the strongest waves.
