Authorities have identified the bicyclist killed in an unsolved hit-and-run crash near Petaluma last month.
The Press Democrat reports the victim was named as 67-year-old George Ramos of San Rafael, according to the Sonoma County Coroner’s Office.
Ramos was found by a passerby on Rainsville Road near Stony Point Road shortly after 9:30 a.m. on November 22nd. The preliminary investigation suggests the crash likely happened overnight or in the early hours of that Saturday, possibly worsened by foggy conditions.
The driver and vehicle involved remain unknown. The California Highway Patrol is urging anyone with information about the incident to contact their Santa Rosa office immediately.
