The Sonoma County redwoods are the star of a new global advertising campaign for the popular running shoe brand, HOKA.
Per the Press Democrat, the company chose the lush forests near Duncans Mills to promote its new recovery shoe, seeking to capture a sense of “a living room in nature.”
A Sebastopol set designer worked on the project, noting that the unique setting highlights the region’s appeal to national brands. The commercial film industry contributes an estimated $70 million annually to the Sonoma County economy.
