BART fares are going up in 2026.
Beginning January 1st, BART is raising fares by six-point-two percent. The transit agency says inflation and the long-term financial pressures on BART to maintain tracks are the main reasons for the fare hike. The average ride will rise by 30 cents.
BART expects the increase to generate over 15-million dollars in 2026.
