The Keller Street parking garage in downtown Petaluma is getting a safety overhaul.
According to the Petaluma Argus-Courier, following a history of security concerns, including a serious assault earlier this year, the city has officially replaced the garage’s broken camera system with new, functional equipment.
The upgrades also include brighter lighting, new ADA-accessible ramps, and clearer signage throughout the three-hundred-plus space facility.
Petaluma Police say they are also increasing patrols around the garage to deter theft and ensure a safer environment for shoppers and visitors. While security is tightening, the parking rules remain the same, offering free four-hour parking on the bottom level and longer limits on the upper floors.
