A Santa Rosa man is arrested after allegedly fleeing police along the Prince Memorial Greenway with a loaded handgun Friday night.
Officers caught 52-year-old Robert Penister Jr., who was wanted on a felony warrant. Penister allegedly resisted arrest and was tasered before being taken into custody. Police say he carried a 22-caliber handgun, which he is legally barred from possessing. He was booked into Sonoma County jail on multiple alleged charges, and a judge later set bail at 750-thousand-dollars.
Penister remains in custody and is scheduled for a court appearance on December 30th.
