Sonoma’s Cornerstone Complex Sold As LeFever Mattson Bankruptcy Liquidation Continues

Sonoma’s Cornerstone complex has sold for ten-point-six million dollars as the LeFever Mattson real estate empire liquidates.

The buyer, Highland Pacific Capital, takes over the Arnold Drive landmark following federal fraud charges against former owner Ken Mattson.

While the sale represents a significant loss in value from 2019, the funds are a critical step toward repaying hundreds of defrauded investors.

Local tenants say they are hopeful the new ownership will finally address deferred maintenance and bring a fresh start to the iconic gardens and marketplace.
