Health officials have cleared Doran, Campbell Cove, and Salmon Creek beaches for use after tests confirmed safe water levels following a massive sewage spill in Guerneville.
According to the Press Democrat, the spill, triggered by heavy storms, released over five million gallons of untreated wastewater into the Russian River before being contained Thursday morning.
Warnings remain in place for Gualala, Black Point, and Goat Rock beaches until at least Monday as testing continues, and residents with flooded wells are urged to disinfect them immediately.
