A fatal head-on collision near Petaluma left one person dead and another seriously injured early Friday morning.
The California Highway Patrol says a man in his 60s was driving a Honda CR-V on Adobe Road around 6 a.m. when his vehicle crossed the double yellow lines. The Honda sideswiped a Chevy Silverado before slamming head-on into a Toyota Camry.
The driver of the Honda was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Camry was rushed to a local hospital with major, but non-life-threatening injuries, while the third driver suffered only minor injuries. CHP is still investigating why the Honda crossed into oncoming traffic.
