A routine foot patrol near the Joe Rodota Trail led to an arrest Thursday afternoon after an officer discovered a man armed with illegal weapons.
Per the Press Democrat, Sebastopol police say the man was found in a wooded area near the trail wearing large, ‘Wolverine-style’ metal knuckles. Along with the illegal weapon, officers found a methamphetamine pipe and evidence of an illegal campsite located near a local waterway.
The man, whose name has not been released, was booked into county jail on charges of weapon possession, drug paraphernalia, and polluting a waterway. Sebastopol Police say they are continuing regular patrols of the trail to address safety and environmental concerns.
