Santa Rosa’s police and fire departments are teaming up to host the second annual Women Leaders in Public Safety Symposium this spring.
The one-day event is set for Friday, March 6, at the Finley Community Center. While the training is tailored to the unique challenges women face in the field—including overcoming gender bias and career wellness—officials say the symposium is open to all genders and all current or retired public safety staff.
Proceeds from the event will help fund a new scholarship program to support diversity-based leadership training for local employees. Registration is open now via Eventbrite, with discounted rates available for City of Santa Rosa staff.
