Santa Rosa is turning to a “four-legged” solution to fight wildfire risk this year, inviting local farmers and livestock owners to help clear overgrown vegetation.
Per the Press Democrat, through February 15th, eligible agricultural partners can apply to have their animals graze on city-managed land to munch through dry grass and combustible materials.
It’s a natural, effective way to tackle steep or rocky terrain that machines can’t reach, and you can find the application online at the Santa Rosa Water website.
