A driver is fighting for his life this morning following a violent, high-speed crash that ended with a car flipped on its roof in Santa Rosa.
Police say a black Lexus was headed west on College Avenue around 8:00 a.m. when it veered into oncoming traffic, jumped the curb, and slammed into an office building near Chinn Street. The car took out a PG&E power pole and a brick wall before flipping over near Brookwood Avenue.
Officers managed to pull the driver from the wreckage, and he remains in critical condition. No one else was hurt, but crews are on the scene dealing with the building damage and downed utility pole.
