SRPD Announces Another “Missing Person Monday” Case Resolution

The Santa Rosa Police Department just concluded its latest “Missing Person Monday” social media campaign, and it’s chalking up another win for community-led tips.

The Press Democrat reports one case was officially resolved after 68-year-old Harvey Thompson was located in a different city thanks to a Facebook post, bringing the total to 14 people found since the program began two years ago.

While the five-week push was a success, investigators say the work isn’t over.

They’ve re-released information on 22 cold cases that are still open—including some dating back to 1984—hoping that a fresh pair of eyes on social media might finally lead to a breakthrough for these families.
