A Petaluma woman is turning TikTok trends into local action through “Victoria’s Table,” a mobile giveaway reaching thousands of neighbors in need across Sonoma County.
33-year-old Victoria Anastasia livestreams her pop-up events six days a week, distributing everything from fresh fruit and hot coffee to new shoes and sleeping bags funded by her 32,000 followers.
While some experts note the difference in oversight between solo creators and established nonprofits, local leaders like Catholic Charities CEO Jennielynn Holmes say these grassroots efforts are vital for making marginalized people feel seen.
Anastasia, who started the project with just ten dollars and a case of water, is now seeking official nonprofit status to expand her “one table at a time” mission to other cities.
