Authorities have identified 73-year-old Gail Bosta of Virginia as the woman tragically killed while crossing a Sonoma street earlier this week.
Per the Sonoma Index-Tribune, a second woman remains in critical condition after the pair were struck by an SUV on Broadway during a sudden rainstorm.
Sonoma police say the driver was traveling at the speed limit and is not considered at fault, as the women were not in a crosswalk when they entered the roadway. The victims were part of a group visiting the area and were staying at a nearby hotel with their husbands.
