Authorities have dismantled a major suspected cockfighting operation on Stony Point Road, seizing more than 800 roosters.
During a raid on Wednesday, Sonoma County Sheriff’s deputies arrested 30-year-old Saul Villalobos-Delacruz after finding evidence of bird fighting and animal abuse at the property.
While animal control has taken custody of the 833 birds, their current location remains undisclosed for security reasons. Villalobos-Delacruz has since been released on supervision as investigators continue to process evidence from the farm.
