Sonoma County’s top financial official is hanging up the hat. Auditor-Controller Erick Roeser announced today he will not seek re-election, capping off a 32-year career in public service.
Roeser credited his team for years of award-winning financial transparency and stable investments. But he isn’t leaving the office in the lurch—he’s throwing his support behind his second-in-command, Amanda Ruch, who has already filed to run for the seat.
Roeser will serve out the remainder of his term to ensure a smooth handoff.
