Petaluma Police Warn of Targeted Tire Thefts and Car Burglaries

Petaluma police are on high alert following a string of car-related crimes, including a series of specialized thefts targeting Toyota Camrys.

According to the Petaluma Argus-Courier, over a two-day period, thieves struck three separate Camrys on the east and southeast sides of town, stripping all four tires and leaving the vehicles disabled. Simultaneously, investigators are hunting for suspects in three vehicle burglaries in southwest Petaluma where backpacks, wallets, and cash were stolen from parked cars.

While no suspects have been identified, authorities are urging residents to park in well-lit areas and remove all valuables from their sight.

Police are asking anyone with information or security footage to contact the department’s tip line immediately.
