“Will Run” Driver Faces 11-Year Prison Term After Probation Slip

The Healdsburg man famous for a high-speed chase in a Mustang labeled “Will Run” is back in custody and facing a decade behind bars.

The Press Democrat reports 21-year-old Marcus Burton was booked into Sonoma County Jail after allegedly failing a random alcohol test, a direct violation of the strict probation terms set last year.

Burton previously received a suspended 11-year sentence following a 2023 crash that injured a family of three and his own teenage passenger. Prosecutors argue that this latest incident, combined with a prior steroid violation and alleged jailhouse threats, proves he has “earned” the full prison term.

A judge has ordered Burton held without bail until a formal hearing on March 30th.
