Petaluma police arrested a 16-year-old boy Tuesday afternoon following a fight near Casa Grande High School involving several teenagers.
The Petaluma Argus-Courier reports witnesses reported seeing a teen pull a handgun from a backpack and point it at others during an altercation on Cross Creek Street. Officers, assisted by a drone team and a K-9 unit, tracked three fleeing suspects to a nearby creek where they were detained without incident.
A search of the area uncovered a discarded backpack containing two replica handguns and a live ammunition magazine.
The 16-year-old was booked for brandishing a replica firearm, while two other juveniles were released without charges.
