A Penngrove man serving a life sentence for the 2003 kidnapping and molestation of a teenage girl will remain behind bars.
Per the Marin Independent Journal, the California Department of Corrections has denied parole for 58-year-old John Robert Barossi for at least another three years. Barossi was arrested after a harrowing 40-minute police pursuit through Marin County after he abducted a 15-year-old student from the College of Marin.
This marks the fourth time Barossi has been denied release since pleading guilty to five felonies in 2004.
He remains incarcerated at the California Health Care Facility in Stockton.
