Santa Rosa Police have arrested a woman after a chaotic morning near Mendocino Avenue this past Sunday.
Officers responded to reports of a suspect chasing people with a large knife and attempting to stab bystanders near the Safeway and Chase Bank parking lots.
Following a ten-minute standoff where the suspect refused to drop the weapon, police used a Taser to safely take 53-year-old Tiffany Espinoza into custody. Thankfully, no community members or officers were injured during the encounter. Espinoza is now facing several charges, including making criminal threats and brandishing a weapon.
