Authorities have released the name of a 79-year-old Calistoga resident, Robert French, who died in a bicycle accident early Saturday morning.
The fatal incident occurred around 6:30 a.m. on Dunaweal Lane, near the intersection of Silverado Trail. Investigators report that French was struck by a vehicle after entering the roadway, and he tragically passed away at the scene.
The driver involved stayed to cooperate with emergency responders, and police say no arrests have been made at this time.
