Local dairy giant Clover Sonoma is officially back in the freezer aisle this month, relaunching a premium ice cream line after several years away from the category.
According to the Press Democrat, the company is debuting four classic flavors, including Vanilla Bean and Mint Chocolate Chip, featuring a high butterfat recipe designed for a richer taste. CEO John Coletta says the move reflects a “resurgence in dairy” and a desire for craftsmanship that national brands often lack.
Fans can also look forward to the return of free samples at this summer’s local fairs, starting with this weekend’s Butter and Egg Days Festival in Petaluma. Local grocers like Oliver’s and Petaluma Market confirm the pints are already hitting shelves across the North Bay.
The relaunch marks Clover’s goal to maintain a presence in every corner of the dairy aisle.
