Sonoma Valley School Board To Review Student Success Strategy

The Sonoma Valley Unified School District Board of Trustees will hold a study session tomorrow, April 28, to review the draft of its 2026-27 Local Control and Accountability Plan.

The Sonoma Index-Tribune reports this three-year strategic plan outlines specific district goals, spending, and metrics designed to improve student outcomes, with a high priority on English learners, foster youth, and low-income students.

The 5:30 p.m. meeting at the district office is open to the public and will include a dedicated session for community comment. Residents can also watch the session live via Zoom or submit written feedback to the district through June 3. This annual update is a state requirement, ensuring that local funding aligns with California’s core educational priorities like school climate and student achievement.

A final vote on the plan is expected during the June 25 board meeting.
