A woman accused of killing an 18-year-old man in a hit-and-run crash in Forestville is behind bars on half-a-million-dollars bail. Oswaldo Mario-Rogelio Cardenas Jr., a recent Cloverdale High School graduate, was hit and killed last Sunday, as he was walking with two friends along River Road. Alyssa Whitten was arrested Friday. Two days earlier, police found the SUV she was allegedly driving fully engulfed in flames west of Santa Rosa. The California Highway Patrol believes it was burned intentionally to hide evidence.
