Two Arrested in Santa Rosa for Catalytic Converter Theft

Two people have been arrested in Santa Rosa for catalytic converter thefts and other crimes. Early Thursday morning, an officer stopped a vehicle in the area of Stony Point Road and West Ninth Street for a vehicle code violation. During the stop, the officer saw a catalytic converter, saws and other tools associated with auto part thefts on the back seat of the vehicle. There was also a tool box with the store security theft cable still attached. One of the occupants, Argenis Cruz, admitted to stealing the catalytic converter earlier in the evening. A search of the vehicle located additional tools and suspected meth. Cruz and Francisco Pino, both of Fairfield, were arrested.
