Break from the Storms Coming After Wednesday’s Rain

Three weeks of relentless rains are winding down in California. NBC’s Jay Gray has the latest on dry days ahead for the state.

“Forecasters say one more storm is going to move across the state on Wednesday and then, they believe, we should be done with these storms for at least a month.”

It will be a welcome break from storms that have turned neighborhoods into lakes, roads into rivers, and forced tens of thousands of people from their homes.  The series of storms have killed at least 20 people.  Scattered showers are expected this morning across Southern California, where the ground is already dangerously-saturated and prone to landslides.  And in the Bay Area, things are starting to dry out while temperatures are dropping.
