El Verano Man Convicted of Three Firearm Charges

An El Verano man has been found guilty of three firearm related charges. Last week, a jury found Hiramu el Kenyatta Bey guilty of being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition and felony possession of a loaded operable firearm while also being in possession of methamphetamine. He will be sentenced on April 26th and could face up to 8 years in prison. Bey was arrested during the course of a robbery investigation of HomeEnergy in Sonoma. The two suspects in the case lived with Bey and deputies searched his residence. They found hundreds of stolen electronic items from the store. They also found multiple rounds of ammunition, an empty firearm magazine, a loaded handgun, about 10 grams of meth, a working scale, and a pipe.
