Covelo Murder Suspect Lee Joaquin Still on the Loose

Mendocino Sheriff deputies are still looking for the suspect accused of murder in Covelo. Lee Anthony Joaquin is suspected of murdering 20-year-old Nicholas Shehli Whipple by shooting him in the torso on March 29th. Joaquin is an adult male at 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs about 180 lbs. Joaquin has shoulder length hair that is sometimes pulled back in a ponytail. He is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information should call the Mendocino Sheriff’s office.
