California regulators have cited the employers of two mushroom farms in Half Moon Bay with violations after seven employees died in a mass shooting earlier this year. Cal/OSHA cited California Terra Garden with 22 violations and one-hundred-thirteen-thousand dollars in fines, for failing to immediately notify workers of an active shooter threat and instruct them to seek shelter. Nearby Concord Farms had 19 violations and over fifty-one-thousand dollars in fines for failure to address previous workplace violence incidents. A disgruntled employee of California Terra Garden, who previously worked at Concord Farms, is accused of killing seven colleagues in January.
