You may see emergency personnel around Petaluma Junior High School today. Don’t be alarmed. Petaluma Police and Fire Departments will be doing Emergency Response Training from 7 AM to 5 PM today. You may see police cars, fire trucks and ambulances around the middle school. You may also hear occasional sounds of blank firing weapons or explosions. Signs will be posted in the area advising of the training. This training is being conducted to help personnel train for critical incidents that may occur in Petaluma. There will be another similar training day at Petaluma Junior High next Tuesday as well.
