A death investigation is underway after human remains were found on a property in a rural area of south Sebastopol. The discovery was made in undergrowth on Saturday but was not announced by authorities until Tuesday. The person has not been identified because the remains are too decomposed. Police consider the death suspicious. The Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office had investigators searching the area for evidence on Sunday.
