Santa Rosa police have received a grant to help increase road safety. The California Office of Traffic Safety or OTS has awarded the department $333-thousand to support Santa Rosa’s ongoing enforcement and education programs to help reduce the number of serious injuries and deaths on our roads. Among other things, the grant will help pay for DUI checkpoints, added patrols, and training officers to recognize signs of impaired driving. The grant program will run through September 2024.
