Dozens of people have citations after driving through a DUI checkpoint in Santa Rosa. Nearly 750 vehicles passed through the checkpoint for four hours late Friday night. Two drivers were arrested on suspicion of DUI and ten were evaluated on suspicion of DUI. Meanwhile, 37 drivers were cited for driving without a license, three were cited for driving with a suspended or revoked license, and two were arrested for having misdemeanor warrants.
In Petaluma… twenty-four arrests were made during two DUI checkpoints. Both were held Friday night East Washington Street between Parkland Way and Executive Drive and on Petaluma Boulevard North near Oak Street at varying times. Over 300 vehicles were screened which had 15 drivers cited or arrested for operating a vehicle unlicensed or while suspended or revoked. Eight DUI drivers were arrested, 7 for alcohol. One other driver was arrested for a DUI warrant.
