Drunk Driver Arrested After Crashing Into Petaluma Fire Hydrant

A suspected DUI driver has been arrested after hitting a fire hydrant in Petaluma. Early Sunday morning, a car crashed into a fire hydrant on the 200 block of North Water Street with the car having fled the scene. Police found the vehicle parked down the road with the driver having fled on foot. The driver, Kelvin Kelsey, was found walking on the 800 block of Petaluma Boulevard North and showed signs of alcohol intoxication and showed impairment while performing field sobriety tests. Police arrested him for DUI and hit and run.
