The County of Sonoma is hosting a couple of notable homeless events this week. Tomorrow, a virtual meeting for the Sonoma County Homeless Coalition Board will be held from 1 to 5 PM. They will be discussing funding, committees, point-in-time count, and housing surrounding homelessness. On Thursday, as part of National Homeless Persons’ Memorial Day, the county will host a memorial to honor individuals who lost their lives over the last year while living without housing in Sonoma County. It will take place at the Arlene Francis Center in Santa Rosa, Thursday 11 AM to 12:30 PM. HomeFirst will have outreach teams present to enroll interested individuals into Coordinated Entry, the county’s system used to match unhoused individuals with housing providers.
