Two Sonoma Valley Unified School District trustees who were accused of improper conduct toward another trustee will not be compensated for legal fees related to the investigation. Anne Ching and Catarina Landry requested about $5,000 combined in compensation for their legal fees related to the investigation surrounding Trustee John Kelly’s claims they harassed him and assisted in the creation of a hostile work environment. Though no evidence of this was found in an investigation, Ching and Landry failed to get the votes needed for compensation during a board meeting last week. Kelly alleged that Ching and Landry helped create a “zoo-like atmosphere” at some board meetings, delayed appropriate notice or materials, and that Landry falsely accused Kelly of a criminal conspiracy at a board meeting.
