Today’s rain is expected to push Santa Rosa to a water milestone. The National Weather Service says Charles M. Schulz-Sonoma County Airport has received 15-point-three-six-inches of rain since October 1st, which is 93-percent of normal to date. After today’s rain, the total is expected to be above 100-percent of normal to date. A year ago today, the rainfall total in Santa Rosa was at 148-percent of normal.
The National Weather Service says that’s possible in the North Bay until tonight, including Napa, Sonoma and Marin counties. The Russian River at Hopland is expected to hit Minor Flood Stage this morning. Even worse, there’s still a risk of landslides. One happened in Guerneville Saturday, forcing inspectors to yellow tag a home and sending the owners packing until it’s safe. There was also a landslide yesterday in Burlingame, with dirt and rocks blocking a road.
